Hanoi mayor Nguyen Duc Chung said that if the city government must control the outbreak in Bach Mai Hospital, otherwise the consequences will be severe.

The move aims at testing quickly not only people suspected of contracting Covid-19 linked to Bach Mai Hospital, but also screening in the city's other districts.

As of April 20, Hanoi has not confirmed any new Covid-19 cases for six consecutive days.

Students showing Covid-19 symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat) need to be put under quarantine for timely testing and kept apart from classmates.

To ensure safety for Hanoi’s students, classes have been disinfected, while antiseptic solution and electronic thermometers have been made available.
