Festival celebrates Japanese culture in Hanoi

A festival themed “Bridging Vietnam-Fukushima Friendship” will be held in Hanoi on November 2-3 to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

On display are the images of reconstruction in Fukushima Prefecture which bore the brunt of the 2011 powerful earthquake and tsunami..

There will also be a number of stands introducing Japanese culture, such as the art of flower arranging, tea ceremonies, Sake rice wine, a Yukata-Kimono fashion show, and traditional folk dance performances.

The event aims to show Fukushima’s gratitude for the spiritual and material support given by the Vietnamese people and strengthen the diplomatic ties between Fukushima and Vietnam.

Admission is free at the Vietnam Women’s Museum.
