High-tech agricultural products are expected to make up more than 70% of the city's total agricultural output by 2030.

The plan encourages producers, firms, and cooperatives in concentrated agricultural areas to embrace high-tech economic models, such as smart agriculture and electronic farms while taking part in systems for product distribution and quality control.

By 2030, the city aims to have at least 20% of scientific and technological tasks related to high-tech and digital applications in agriculture researched, applied, and transferred for agricultural development.

The city expects to develop a high-tech agricultural center, dozens of high-tech agricultural zones, and at least 10 recognized high-tech agricultural enterprises.

To achieve the goals, Hanoi plans to enhance research and application of science and technology, as well as advanced techniques and high-tech production processes while promoting the use of digital technologies in smart agriculture.

The department will also develop infrastructure for high-tech agriculture and focus on improving workforce productivity.

In addition, it will raise awareness of the role of high technology in agriculture while supporting high-tech applications in agricultural production.

The Management Board of High-Tech Zones and Industrial Parks will lead efforts in the establishment of high-tech agricultural zones in an effective manner.
