The project, which will run from 2025 to 2026, has a total budget of over VND33 billion (US$1.3 million). It focuses on optimizing passenger routes, upgrading public transport stations to improve accessibility, especially for pedestrians, and restructuring the existing bus network to provide better connections. By integrating different modes of transportation, the project is expected to encourage greater use of public transport and reduce dependence on private vehicles
The Hanoi Department of Transport is responsible for overseeing implementation and ensuring compliance with national and local regulations. The city has stated that the project must be carried out transparently and efficiently, with strict adherence to the legal framework governing the management of non-refundable aid.
To address security concerns and ensure public safety during project activities such as infrastructure assessment and data collection, the authorities have also mandated close coordination with relevant agencies.
Hanoi continues to seek international partnerships to improve its urban transportation infrastructure to create a more efficient and sustainable system. The Moov'Hanoi project is part of a broader effort to modernize public transportation and create a more commuter-friendly environment for residents and visitors alike.
