While the Vietnamese manufacturing sector remained in growth territory in November, a renewed wave of the Covid-19 pandemic clouds the near-term outlook for firms.

The rapid decline in Covid-19 cases in Vietnam helped lead to renewed growth of output and employment in April amid a return to more normal business conditions.

Vietnam’s industrial production in 2023 is forecast to increase by 6.6% year on year.

With market demand improving and new orders returning to growth, optimism continued to grow regarding production prospects for the year.
