Va temple festival kicked off in February
Va temple, also kown as The East Palace, located at Van Gia village, Trung Hung ward, Son Tay town, Hanoi. The temple worships Duc Thanh Tan, the sacred saint bringing good things to people.
During the festival, folk games such as wrestling, tug of war, chess, beating pots, brown rice ... contest attracted participants and contribute to the success of the festival.
Va Temple festival is annually held in the full moon of the first lunar month (spring festival) and of the ninth lunar month (autumn festival) to celebrate his services rendered to society. Every three years, the festival is organized with a large scale. Those are the years of the Mouse, Cat, Horse and Rooster.
