Vietnam's PM starts activities in Japan

Vietnam’s prime minister affirms that Japan is a leading strategic partner of Vietnam.

Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met former Japanese PM Suga Yoshihide and Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Nikai Toshihiro on November 23 as beginning his four-day visit to Japan.

In talks with Suga Yoshihide, PM Chinh affirmed that Japan is among Vietnam’s most important strategic partners. 

PM Chinh thanked Nikai Toshihiro for his contributions to Japan’s Covid relief to Vietnam, including more than four million vaccine doses and medical supplies. 

 At the meeting, Chinh hoped that Suga Yoshihide and Nikai Toshihiro would continue contributing to the Vietnam-Japan relations that will reach the 50th year in 2023.
