All leaders of Hanoi's government had been mobilized to supervise recovery efforts and ensure swift progress in returning to normal operations.

During his inspection of storm damage, including fallen trees on Ngo Quyen and Dinh Tien Hoang streets, Thanh stressed that although Storm No. 3 had passed, it caused widespread destruction.

Initial reports indicate that over 17,000 trees were uprooted.

He said all vice chairpersons of the municipal People’s Committee had been deployed to oversee recovery operations and ensure quick progress in restoring normal activities.

He instructed departments and local authorities to prioritize the swift restoration of transportation. "By the end of today, Sunday, traffic must be restored so that people can return to work and normal routines on Monday," he said.

Regarding fallen trees, Thanh urged special attention be given to preserving and replanting century-old trees where possible. He also called for urgent action to restore power to facilitate both business operations and residents' needs, with a focus on medium-voltage systems vital for drainage.

Additionally, the chairman directed localities to promptly inspect their areas and take swift action to address storm-related damages.
