In Chuong My District, the delegation led by Nguyen Thi Tuyen visited poultry and pork meat producer CP Vietnam at Phu Nghia Industrial Park.

Last July, CP Vietnam launched its largest pig slaughterhouse in the northern region with total investment capital of nearly VND510 billion (US$21.74 million) capable of slaughtering 2,000 pigs per day. The plant’s revenue during the last half of 2022 stood at over VND147 billion ($6.26 million).

The delegation later visited CP Vietnam’s Hanoi Meat Processing Factory, one of the main suppliers of safe and fresh meat products for Hanoi and northern cities/provinces.

The factory currently has an automatic poultry processing capacity of up to 43,000 tons per year and sausages of 16,000 tons per year.

Expressing her delight at the joyful mood of CP Vietnam’s workers during the early days of the 2023 Lunar New Year, Tuyen highlighted the company’s active investment expansion in Phu Nghia Industrial Park in particular and Hanoi in general.

According to Tuyen, the company’s modern production chain helped form sustainable supply chains in food processing and contributes to the development of the animal husbandry sector in Hanoi.

She expressed her wish that the company would continue to grow strong and achieve greater business results, leading to higher income for workers.

On the same day, the delegation visited the Precision Mechanics and Technology Transfer Company (PMTT) in Phu Nghia Industrial Park.

PMTT for years has been one of the leading companies in the city in ancillary industries and providing automation software solutions for customers.

PMTT recorded a revenue of VND210 billion ($9 million) in 2022 and paid its 226 employees an average salary of VND8.5 million ($362) per month.

After a week-long Tet, 100% of the employees have returned to work since the sixth day of the 2023 Lunar New Year.

During the visit, Tuyen applauded the dedication of workers during the first days of the year and expressed her joy that precision mechanical products manufactured by PMTT are being supplied to large FDI companies such as Samsung, Panasonic, Toyota, or Sumitomo.

Tuyen called for PMTT to continue promoting branding and creating high-added value products while taking care of the employees to strengthen their bonds with the company.

At the Phu Nghia Industrial Park, the delegation also visited the JK Vietnam Industry Company, a local company specializing in the production of components for various industries, such as automotive, electrical, electronics, and construction.

JK Vietnam has been a long-term supplier for Honda, Yamaha, and Hyundai, with an average revenue of $12 million per year.

On the same day, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan visited several companies and traditional craft villages in Thuong Tin District.

In an artisan village in Van Diem commune, Tuan expressed his impression of the development of the locality over the years. At present, 1600 households out of the total 2500 in the commune are engaged in the wood processing business, creating jobs for 4000 locals with an average income of VND72 million ($3000) per year.

The commune posted a combined revenue of VND390 billion ($16.6 million) in 2022, of which those from the craft village made up 54.6% of the total revenue.

At Tai Quynh Handicraft Production Facility, Tuan reaffirmed Hanoi’s commitment to creating the utmost favorable conditions for businesses, calling for every company to soon resume operation right after Tet and contribute to the capital’s socio-economic development.

Visiting A Chau Industrial Technology Company in Quat Dong Industrial Cluster, Tuan commended the company for its strong growth over the years and effective benefit policies for workers.

A Chau is operating four manufacturing plants in Thuong Tin District and Hoa Lac Hi-tech park, employing 700 workers with an average monthly salary of VND10 million ($426).

“The local authorities would continue to address concerns of businesses,” said Tuan, noting the Hanoi People’s Council in particular would focus on issuing favorable policies to aid the development of companies and industrial zones, along with building concentrated wastewater treatment facilities.
