Huong Pagoda reopens
Tourists flock to renown Huong Pagoda from 1am on the first day of Huong Pagoda Festival on March 13.
Although the Huong Pagoda Festival is scheduled to open at 3am on March 13, many visitors and Buddhists had already gathered at the place very early, around 1 o’clock in the morning.

| Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, relics, temples, religious establishments in the capital had to shut down as a measure to prevent the spread of corona virus since February 16. |

| Earlier, in an online meeting on the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic, the vice chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee- Mr. Chu Xuan Dung, agreed with the request of the My Duc district, Hanoi to reopen the Huong Pagoda from March 13. I will try my best in implementing pandemic prevention in order to keep myself and community safe from coronavirus,” said Mr. Trinh Xuan Bay, 87, a who writes sinogram petitions for visitors in to Huong Pagoda. |

After a two-hour bus ride from central Hanoi, we arrived at Huong Pagoda area in Huong Son Commune, My Duc District, about 70 kilometers southwest of Hanoi.
A number of relics and places of interest in Hanoi such as Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple, Tay Ho Temple reopened on March 8.
