iHaNoi sees 52,000 registered accounts, 20,000 daily visits

The city will continue to improve and add more features to the app to make it even more user-friendly for citizens and businesses.

The iHaNoi application has over 52,000 registered accounts and over 20,000 daily visits.

This information was provided at a training conference to guide the use of the digital capital citizen application - iHaNoi - and its dissemination on July 16  in Hanoi.

The report from the Office of the Hanoi People's Committee shows that after a short period of deployment, iHaNoi's user base includes almost half of the 120,000 officials and civil servants in the city's administrative apparatus. This is seen as an encouraging achievement in the process of modernizing administrative management and improving the quality of public services in the city.

"This application received and processed 338 feedback submissions in a timely manner, with a satisfaction rate of over 48%. Citizens rated iHaNoi highly for its convenience and effective handling of issues," noted the report.

Districts such as Hoan Kiem, Hoang Mai, Bac Tu Liem, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Ba Dinh, and the Department of Transport have received high marks, Director of the City's Electronic Information Center Hoang Van Bang said.

"These are encouraging results demonstrating the government's efforts to improve the quality of public services and respond quickly and effectively to citizens' needs," he added.

The app has also received high praise on social media, ranking in the top seven in the Apple App Store and the top 12 in the Android Playstore, the director said.

To ensure the effective operation of iHaNoi going forward, Bang said the city will continue to improve and add more utilities to the app to make it more convenient for citizens and businesses.

All 22 city agencies and 30 districts now have accounts on iHanoi to collect and manage input from residents and businesses. Urban order, environment and sanitation are the areas that have garnered the most feedback from the public.

He emphasized that iHaNoi is an application that reflects the city government's strong commitment and determination to the goal of "putting citizens and businesses at the center of services", while effectively leveraging the government's Scheme 06 to provide utilities for digital citizens.

"Local authorities need to see iHaNoi as a converging digital interaction channel that helps strengthen communication between the government and Hanoi's citizens and businesses," the director stressed.

He expressed the hope that each city's officials, especially the police and youth organizations, will take the initiative to learn, promote and guide the installation, activation and use of iHaNoi accounts.

iHaNoi currently has a user base of almost half of the city's 120,000 cadres and officials.

During the training, a team of technicians from Viettel Business Solutions Corporation guided civil servants and officials from various agencies and units across the city on how to download and install the iHaNoi application, register accounts on the app, and provide feedback on the app on the spot.

Dinh Quang Luan, Party Committee Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation in Viet Hung Ward, Long Bien District, who attended the event, said that 100% of the ward's officials and civil servants have now completed the installation of iHaNoi in accordance with the city and district's directives.

"After this course, we will ask 100% of our party members to install the app, with the goal of having all residents in the district install the app on their smartphones according to the timeline set by the city," he stressed.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Minh, a specialist with the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that among the app's features that she uses frequently are the on-the-spot feedback and administrative procedures.

She added that at the request of the Chairman of the Municipal People's Committee, she and other department officials and staff have completed the installation of the iHanoi application.

According to a recent directive from Hanoi Mayor Tran Sy Thanh, Hanoi aims to have all citizens create an account on the iHaNoi app to improve online interactions between citizens, businesses and local government through the platform.

He has asked the heads of the city's departments, agencies, districts, communes and wards to set an example by creating individual accounts on the iHaNoi app for all civil servants by July 30, 2024.

Agencies will designate lead contacts who will thoroughly address citizen and business feedback, ensuring quality, efficiency and timeliness according to city regulations.

Community digital transformation teams will work closely with local police and youth organizations to effectively implement public awareness campaigns and help citizens download the iHaNoi app.

The Hanoi Police will ensure the app's cybersecurity is within their jurisdiction and assigned functions.
The City People's Committee Office will provide promotional materials and user guides, handle citizens' inquiries, and support the use of the iHaNoi app via the hotline 1022 - extension 8.

Viettel and related units will continue to refine and add features to the app, such as polling, voter recommendations, parking, public transit, directories, billing, and news.

The Department of Information and Communications will direct digital transformation teams to help citizens use iHaNoi accounts. The agency will promote iHaNoi as a platform for all the city's digital services and strengthen communication between the government, the public and businesses.

The Department of Home Affairs will oversee how agencies process feedback submitted through iHaNoi.

A city-wide campaign involving agencies, police, youth, businesses, and universities will help residents install iHanoi by September 15, 2024.

The Mayor has called on citizens to help build a digital government, economy, society and citizens in line with Hanoi's vision of a green, smart, modern, inclusive and sustainable city.
