Over 200 overseas Vietnamese intellectuals take part in VYI Forum 2018
The Vietnam Youth Federation expected that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will dialogue with young people, startup students, investors at the forum "Young people start up in 2018".
The first Vietnamese Young Intellectual Forum – VYI Forum 2018 is taking place on November 27-29 in Da Nang city with the participation of more than 200 Vietnamese intellectuals residing and working in 21 countries.
The Vietnamese young intellectuals will share their ability to contribute to the country’s development, propose mechanisms and promote talents.
According to the organizers, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Vietnam Youth Federation, 27% of the participants are assistant professors, doctors and post-docs, 35% hold MA degrees, 33% have bachelor degrees and 5 percent are outstanding students.
Participants will discuss the visions, missions, roles and capacity of Vietnamese young intellectuals, while giving recommendations on mechanisms to attract and promote high quality resources, and encourage the youth to actively contribute to the national construction and development.
VYI Forum 2018 is also a channel for State agencies to collect recommendations from the young intellectuals on current issues, as well as difficulties and challenges facing the country. A report on recommendations and policy proposals will be released after the discussion.
Participants will also debate the operation of a network connecting Vietnamese young intellectuals around the world.
Within the forum, a discussion between the leaders of the Party, State, and Government agencies with the young intellectuals around the globe will take place, focusing on technologies of Industry 4.0 in environmental protection and climate change response, and promoting innovation in production.
The Vietnam Youth Federation also expected that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and leaders of departments, ministries will dialogue with young people, startup students, investors on November 29 afternoon at the forum " Young people start up in 2018", with the topic of "Finding a breakthrough solution for startups in Vietnam".
