The Japanese government has pledged to provide at least US$1.84 million in aid to help Vietnam push back the coronavirus pandemic.

Vietnam, though struggling to fight against the virus at home, has extended its support to the neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia.

The donors are also those living in an affected country where the infection toll is tenfold Vietnam's.

The foreign NGOs are committed to continuing aid and assistance after the crisis.

Many needy people said they felt touched when receiving the aid from Hanoi's government, because this is timely attention.
