In contrast to a wide range of investment incentives for multinationals, investment procedures for local enterprises, especially small and medium ones, remain complicated.

Vietnam should take stronger measures related to origin of goods and products to avoid risks of lawsuits or being taken advantage of by other countries to evade US import tariffs.

Such increases have created a burden on the citizens, while multinationals are taking advantage of Vietnam’s incentive policies to avoid taxes.

Not only financial means, Vietnam has also provided medical equipment and expertise to help Laos in the fight against the pandemic, said the Lao ambassador to Vietnam.

Symbiosis is seen as an important link facilitating the cooperation between local and foreign direct investment firms in Vietnam.
