Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested Vietnam and Germany soon set up a strategic action plan for the 2019 – 2021 period.

The funding will focus on energy, environment, and vocational training in the next two years.

Germany fully supports the Vietnam – EU relations, as well as the ratification of the EU – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the EU – Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

The two countries will stress a focus on security policy for the action plan in the next two years.

Vietnam’s targets of becoming Asia’s logistics hub would only be feasible if local firms can fence off competition from the world’s major logistics players.
