Vietnam’s political system has showed strong determination and commitment in IUU fishing combat, said an inspector of the European Commission (EC).

The EVFTA holds significant meaning as it opens up huge opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to penetrate the EU markets.

The MOU will also foster greater cooperation between Vietnam, US, and international law enforcement agencies to ensure sustainable living marine resources and combat IUU fishing.

Combating IUU fishing is essential for Vietnam to remove EC’s yellow card, while promoting a responsible fishing sector and further accelerating the country’s global integration efforts.

These projects will help restore natural systems on land and water that the world is relying on to achieve a better environment.
