The close bonds in terms of culture and history, as well as mutual interests on major global issues, have laid the foundation for a strong bilateral partnership between the two countries, said Vietnam’s Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong.

The US continues to support a strong, independent, and prosperous Vietnam and seeks to further strengthen the relationship based on respect for each other’s political regime.

Both sides expect the Vietnam-Singapore relations to become an example of cooperation among ASEAN members.

The city’s leader expressed sincere gratitude for the solidarity and support from the Laos Government and People, following the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong—a distinguished leader of Vietnam.
