The Mong Cai border-gate economic zone will become a green, modern and sustainable coastal town, an area with a strategic and important position in terms of security and defense of the Red River delta and the country.

The “cradle of wet rice civilization” was voted by The New York Times as one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the world in 2022.

The project is expected to raise the income of rice farmers and economic efficiency in agricultural production in the Red River Delta.

Between now and 2030, the Red River Delta should continue its rapid and sustainable development based on a modern economic structure imbued with national cultural characteristics.

Hanoi will work with neighboring provinces on new traveling routes to further improve tourism in the Red River delta region.
