The SEA Games 31 is slated to transpire in Hanoi and surrounding localities at the end of November and the beginning of December in 2021 whilst the schedule for Para Games 11 is December 2021

The Golden Dragons record a comfortable win 3-0 over Indonesia in the final on December 10.

This is the first time in 21 years that Indonesia has made it to the SEA Games men’s football final. Vietnam's last final appearance was 10 years ago when it lost to Malaysia.

Hanoi athletes have been sent for training and competing in Guangdong, Wuhan and Shanghai in addition to Guangxi.

The number of athletes from Hanoi accounted for 24.65% of the Vietnam delegation and contributed 87 medals to the total results.
