Vietnam must grasp opportunities from the internet economy, which is estimated to have a combined value of US$100 billion in Southeast Asia, and is on track to increase by three-fold in the next five years, said a government official.

Vietnam will temporarily stop granting tourist visas for Chinese of nCoV-infected territories, except urgent cases.

The working teams will keep an eye on the epidemic which leaves more than 60 suspected cases so far.

Senior officials said Vietnam has prepared different scenarios for the epidemic, including the possibility of more than 1,000 cases confirmed.

The rehearsal aims to employ military resources for testing strategies against the epidemic.
