Vietnam National Assembly’s next session to take place on March 24
The worst-Covid case has been built for the week-long gathering.
The 11th session of Vietnam’s 14th National Assembly tenure is scheduled to take place from March 24 to April 7.

As lawmakers are expected to gather at the Parliament Hall in Hanoi, different scenarios for the gathering have been made, including the worst-Covid case, said Secretary General of the National Assembly (NA)’s Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc.
Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong said this sitting is “very important” due to the preparations for personnel work and the election for some vacant positions and replacements in the State apparatus for the 15th tenure included on the agenda.
Other issues if have not been well-prepared should be left for the next session, she said.
The agenda will also cover the passing of revised Law on Drug Prevention and Control and feedback on the reports on the 2016-2021 term of State President, the government, the NA’s Standing Committee, the NA’s Committees, the NA’s Ethnic Council, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, and the State Audit of Vietnam.
Vietnam’s parliament holds two sessions per year.
